Beta, test mode

8 of our data tools as plain HTTPS endpoints: the same input fields and the same rows as the Apify Actors, from official sources, paid from prepaid credits. One key works for REST and for the remote MCP server.

Every call is POST /v1/<tool> with the Actor's input object as JSON. A 200 answer is {"tool", "rows": [...], "count", "warnings", "message", "charged_usd", "balance_usd", "duration_seconds"}; the headers X-Credits-Charged and X-Credits-Balance repeat the charge. An empty result is 200 with rows: [] and costs nothing. Check your balance with GET /v1/me; list tools, prices and input schemas with GET /v1/tools (free).

Tools and prices

You pay only for rows returned. Before a call we check that your balance covers the price times the most rows the input can return; afterwards we charge the rows actually delivered. 1 credit = $0.0001.

Credits

Credit packs: $10 = 100,000 credits, $50 = 500,000 credits, $200 = 2,000,000 credits. Buy with POST /v1/credits/checkout (your key in the header), which returns a Stripe Checkout link. Prices are in US dollars and exclude VAT. Unused credits are refundable on request to support@boscolabs.dev.

Rate limits

About 60 calls per minute per key (10 per minute on free-trial keys); counted per server instance, so treat it as approximate.
Daily spending cap per key: $5 by default, raised on request.
Each call has a 55-second budget. Some tools pace their source (for example, UK and Dutch law lookups wait 5 seconds between pages), so a call can take up to about 35 seconds.

Errors

Every error has one shape: {"error": {"code", "message", "example"?}}. Failed calls are never charged.

HTTP	Code	Meaning
400	`invalid_input`	Bad input: the Actor's own validation message, often with an example.
401	`bad_key`	Missing or unknown key.
402	`insufficient_credits`	Balance below price x maximum rows for this input; shows your balance and how to buy credits.
403	`key_disabled`	Key disabled (ask support).
429	`rate_limited`	Too many calls; wait for the `Retry-After` seconds.
502	`source_failed`	The official source is down or returned garbage. Nothing charged.
503	`paused`	API paused (daily safety cap or maintenance). Nothing charged.
504	`timeout`	The call exceeded 55 seconds. Nothing charged.

MCP

Add https://api.boscolabs.dev/mcp (streamable HTTP) to your MCP client with the header Authorization: Bearer <key>. Each tool above is one MCP tool, at the same price.
